Colorado regulators expanded a product recall for marijuana flower produced by a vertically integrated business in Boulder. The statement said,
Expanded Health and Safety Advisory: Fresh Baked, LLC
May 18, 2022 – The Colorado Department of Revenue’s Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED), in
conjunction with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is issuing an
expanded health and safety advisory due to the additional identification of potentially unsafe levels of
Total Yeast and Mold contamination in Retail Marijuana flower (bud/shake/trim) produced by Fresh
Baked, LLC.
Through our investigation, the MED has identified harvest batches of Retail Marijuana flower
(bud/shake/trim) that were untested or not tested properly dating back to July 14, 2021, which have been
found to contain levels of microbial contaminants above the acceptable limits established in Colorado
Marijuana Rule 4‐115. As a result, the CDPHE and MED are expanding the Health and Safety Advisory
issued on April 20, 2022 to include all Retail Marijuana produced by this licensee before February 25,
2022 to be a potential threat to public health and safety.
Consumers who have these affected products in their possession should return them to the Retail
Marijuana Store where they were purchased for proper disposal. While only marijana produced on and
after July 14, 2021 was still available for testing as part of this investigation, out of an abundance of
caution it is recommended that consumers return any products still in their possession from the below
Retail Marijuana Cultivation Facility. Consumers who experience adverse health effects from consuming
the product should seek medical attention immediately, report the event to the store from which they
purchased the product and report the event to the MED by submitting an MED Reporting Form.
All af ected marijuana should have a label af ixed to the container that, at a minimum, indicates the
license number of the Retail Marijuana Business that cultivated the marijuana. Consumers should
check the label of their Retail Marijuana flower (bud/shake/trim) for the following license number:
